Hefty Incentives Offered to Buy Estate Property
Today, Rim Rock Ranch owners and developers Pat and Chris Taylor announce price reductions ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 for six wine estate-size parcels located just east of unspoiled Hidden Valley Lake in Southern Lake County, California. The parcels border the successful 300-acre Cimarron Vineyards, the development’s centerpiece now growing three types of wine grapes that are under contract to a major Napa Valley winery. Four parcels out of 15 of the first phase have been sold.
“People don’t realize that Lake County was a highly favored locale for wine growing before Prohibition. Nowadays, established vintners are successfully marketing Lake County wines and planning to develop resorts to make Lake County a more welcoming destination for wine aficionados and vacationers alike. Lake County is in the process of reinventing itself,” said Pat Taylor.
To explain the area’s attraction for winemakers, Sam Spencer, winemaker at Spencer-Roloson Winery said that Lake County is ideal for vineyards with its, “warm, dry climate with porous, pristine volcanic obsidian rock that drains well, with a mineral content that is fantastic for certain varietals.”
This price reduction is an additional incentive to a travel incentive recently announced that provides both buyers and their real estate agents a voucher worth up to $5,000 each for air travel, cruise, tour, or hotel upon close of escrow. Because the travel incentive is expiring at the end of October, reductions valued at a total of $404,000, are being made to encourage both brokers and buyers to consider the development.
Located only minutes from fine dining opportunities in Napa County and all that Lake County features in golf and many popular outdoor activities, parcels in the upscale development are priced from $299,000 to $535,000. Properties that favor wine growing at higher elevations in rich volcanic soils, production of olive oil from mature trees, and equestrian use, many offering breathtaking views in all directions, are all offered at Rim Rock Ranch.
To illustrate what makes Lake County so desirable for growing wine grapes, Marco Diguillio, winemaker at Shannon Ridge Winery stated that, “Elevation plays a big part in how vines respond to their environment, which translates into what fruit tastes like. Not only does it come from the soil and the slope of the hillside, but also the elevation and the big swings in temperature that you see from the morning to mid afternoon and what that does to the ripening of the tannin and the retention of acidity in the grape.”
According to Chris Taylor, “Rim Rock Ranch is being positioned for those seeking an extraordinary value proposition in the part of up and coming Lake County that is most accessible to everything that Wine Country has to offer. Lake County is very much like Napa was 40 years ago and boasts the cleanest air in California and many pristine areas to enjoy and prices are extremely favorable.”
Restrictions apply to the travel incentive. Details about that promotion and the reduced prices are available by telephone or email at 650-868-5090 or (Email address) To see actual photos of each parcel, visit www.RimRockNow.com.
