Big changes are taking place at one of Woodinville Washington’s most sought-after wineries, EFESTE. The name which bears the initials of its founders has hired on former Precept front-man Peter Devison – I first got the chance to meet Peter last year and was very impressed by his winemaking style =- I am excited to see what he can bring to the wines of EFESTE. In fact, his 2010 Pinot Gris that he made for Willow Crest is the best Pinot Gris I’ve ever had for $10 – he knows quality and knows value.
Current winemaker, Brennon Leighton hand-picked Devison – the two started working this 2012 harvest together.
Brennon and his wife, Paige, will be moving to Eastern Washington to live near the EFESTE estate vineyard and help consult with other winemaking projects as well. We wish them well on their new adventures in life!
*Update 7/31/2012: I found out today that Brennon will be the winemaker for Charles Smith and K Vintners!
