By Duane Pemberton

The Hedges family was the first to start a winery on Red Mountain with their own estate vineyards  - which was in 1987. Since that time, they have sold their wines all over the world and are champions of promoting the Red Mountain AVA and its terroir.

Nose: Bacon fat, black licorice, plum raisens, cigar tobacco, dark chocolate and pepper.

Taste: Superp mouth-feel with extremely “round” tannins and solid fruit that makes the initial attack very kick-ass. The mid-palate picks things up very nicely and continues the great mouth feel with a finish that lingers for weeks.

W.E.P. Rating: 90%
