Craig Mitrakul, one of the most sought-after winemakers in the greater Wenatchee area of Washington State will hang up his reins at Saint Laurent Winery at the end of the year and start working with Karma Vineyards up in Lake Chelan. Karma is one of the few producers in the USA to make bubbly with a true, Champenoise method.
This should be a good score for Karma as Craig has a good history of wineries under his belt, including: Saint Laurent, Ryan Patrick, Crayelle Cellars and others. We’re excited to see where he takes the Karama wines to in regards to quality – he’ll take over for Ray Sandidge who was the acting winemaker for Karma and also has a long-list of wineries he has consulted for.
